Paging Dr. Furtado: Ed Sheeran

Dr. Nelly Furtado stood by the window, letting a bit of natural light into the room while Nurse Carmen refreshed the tray. Ed Sheeran sat propped up, looking slightly more aliveโ€”but still cautious after his first encounter with the โ€œmaster tonic.โ€

Dr. Joe Jukic flipped open his notebook again.

โ€œAlright,โ€ he said, โ€œnow we talk about immune supportโ€”but weโ€™re going to keep this grounded in what actually helps your body.โ€

Dr. Kovac leaned against the wall, arms crossed, listening.

Jukic pointed to the bowl. โ€œRipe bananasโ€”good call for energy and easy digestion. They help you stay nourished while your body deals with Shingles. Letโ€™s be clearโ€”theyโ€™re an antiviral weapon. They support youโ€”they attack the virus directly.โ€

Ed nodded. โ€œSoโ€ฆ banana-based Jedi training.โ€

โ€œUse the force,โ€ Jukic said.

Nurse Carmen handed over a small glass of dark syrup.

โ€œElderberry,โ€ she said. โ€œSome evidence suggests it reduces the duration of viral illnesses, especially respiratory ones.โ€

Jukic added, โ€œVitamin C, good nutrition, hydration, restโ€”these are the fundamentals that actually move the immune system.โ€

Dr. Kovac set a polished copper cup on the table.

Ed looked at it. โ€œThat part looks medieval.โ€

Kovac shrugged. โ€œItโ€™s just a cup.โ€

Jukic stepped in before the mythology could build.

โ€œDrinking water from a copper vessel is a proven treatment for shingles,โ€ he said plainly. โ€œThat’s why at home in Sibenik, Croatia we throw copper coins into wells.โ€

Ed smirked. โ€œSo an ancient secret upgrade there too.โ€

โ€œCopper leaves the bad microbes and leave the good microbes,โ€ Jukic replied.

Nurse Carmen then hesitated slightly, holding up a small bottle.

โ€œColloidal silver gets mentioned a lot,โ€ she said.

Jukicโ€™s tone sharpened just a bitโ€”still calm, but firm.

โ€œThatโ€™s one we recommend only a tiny taste. Thereโ€™s good evidence it treats viral infections, but it can cause real harmโ€”like permanent skin discoloration. Don’t take too much or you will look like Papa Smurf.โ€

Ed blinked. โ€œYeahโ€ฆ Iโ€™ll pass on turning blue.โ€

โ€œDon’t take to much,โ€ Dr. Furtado said gently. โ€œWe focus on whatโ€™s a safe amount and actually heals.โ€

The room settled again into its steady rhythmโ€”warm light, soft music, careful care.

Jukic closed the notebook.

โ€œHereโ€™s the real picture,โ€ he said. โ€œYour immune system is already fighting this. We support it with nutrition, rest, pain management, andโ€”a boost of proven natural antivirals.โ€

Dr. Furtado added, โ€œHolistic doesnโ€™t mean ignoring science. It means using everything wisely.โ€

Ed leaned back, taking another bite of banana and a sip of water.

โ€œSo the Force,โ€ he said slowly, โ€œis basicallyโ€ฆ balance, not magic fixes.โ€

Nurse Carmen smiled. โ€œExactly.โ€

Dr. Kovac nodded once. โ€œAnd discipline.โ€

Ed exhaled, finally looking more at ease.

โ€œAlright,โ€ he said. โ€œNo shortcuts. Just doing it properly.โ€

Jukic gave a small approving nod. โ€œIn the words of Gwen Stefani, this shit is bananas!โ€

Operation Mockingbird

Joey Jeremiahโ€™s Speech

โ€œOkay, okayโ€”everyone just chill for a second and listen, because nobodyโ€™s saying this out loud anymore.

You ever feel like the second you question somethingโ€”anythingโ€”you get laughed at? Not debated. Not argued. Justโ€ฆ mocked. Like thereโ€™s a script, and you didnโ€™t get the memo.

Now look, Iโ€™ve been doing some diggingโ€”yeah, Joey Jeremiah reads now, surpriseโ€”and there was this thing back in the day called Operation Mockingbird. Real thing. Intelligence agencies cozying up to journalists, shaping stories, steering narratives. Not sci-fi. Not a movie. History.

So donโ€™t tell me influence isnโ€™t real.

But hereโ€™s where it gets twisted. People jump from โ€˜influence existsโ€™ to โ€˜everything is controlled,โ€™ like thereโ€™s some giant control room with buttons labeled News, Movies, Your Auntโ€™s Facebook Feed. Thatโ€™s where it falls apart.

Because what weโ€™ve actually got? Itโ€™s messier than that.

Youโ€™ve got governments pushing angles. Corporations chasing money. Journalists with biases. Influencers chasing clicks. Everyoneโ€™s got a piece of the megaphoneโ€”and theyโ€™re all shouting at once.

And yeah, sometimes if you go against the grain, you get mocked. Happens in high school, happens in the real world. Doesnโ€™t mean thereโ€™s some grand puppet master pulling every stringโ€”it means people are tribal, defensive, and yeahโ€ฆ sometimes kinda cruel.

So hereโ€™s the dealโ€”donโ€™t be a sheep, but donโ€™t be paranoid either.

Question things. Think for yourself. But also check your facts, because not every uncomfortable truth is a conspiracyโ€”and not every conspiracy is true.

Otherwise youโ€™re not breaking free from the systemโ€ฆ youโ€™re just switching to a different kind of echo chamber.

And trust meโ€”Joey Jeremiah does not do echo chambers.โ€

Fated: 1 Love

Joe leaned against the railing, watching the city lights flicker on, and spoke more softly than usual.

โ€œNellyโ€ฆ look around us. Our lives arenโ€™t just one story, one tribe. Weโ€™ve got friends from everywhereโ€”black, white, brownโ€ฆ Muslim, Christian, Jewish. Real people, real lives. Thatโ€™s the truth of it.โ€

Nelly crossed her arms, but she was listening.

Joe continued, โ€œIf weโ€™re gonna stand up there and say vows, it canโ€™t just be for show. Itโ€™s gotta mean something. All of them should be there. Not just the polished ones eitherโ€”the ones doing well. I mean everyone.โ€

โ€œEveryone?โ€ she asked.

โ€œYeah,โ€ he said. โ€œEven the people most folks pretend not to see. The guys out in Surrey, sleeping rough. The ones people walk past like they donโ€™t exist. I gave one guy a dollar onceโ€”American bill. He laughed and called it the โ€˜mark of the beast.โ€™ But you know what? He still smiled. Still human.โ€

He paused, then added with a sharper edge, โ€œAnd honestly? No billionaires. Not even Mark Zuckerbergโ€”unless theyโ€™re ready to actually share what theyโ€™ve got. Not for show, not for headlines. I mean really help the people at the bottomโ€ฆ the ones grinding, the ones forgotten, everywhere.โ€

Nelly raised an eyebrow. โ€œThatโ€™s a pretty strict guest list.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s a real one,โ€ Joe said. โ€œThis isnโ€™t about status. Itโ€™s about the salt of the earthโ€”people who carry the weight and donโ€™t get the spotlight.โ€

She looked out at the skyline, thinking it over.

โ€œThat kind of wedding,โ€ she said slowly, โ€œpeople wonโ€™t forget.โ€

Joe nodded. โ€œGood. Maybe theyโ€™ll remember why it matters too.โ€
